I have been fortunate to meet many wonderful families in Chicago and photograph so many newborns, but whenever I work with The Tiny Footprints Project, I am reminded again just how truly precious these little lives are. Whitney came into the world 10 weeks early and had to do a bit of fighting in the NICU before she was finally cleared to go home (yay!)

And for anyone working in hospitals or know someone who has given birth to a premie, please spread the word about this awesome organization that provides complimentary in-hospital portrait sessions and all digital images to parents with babies in the NICU.
